Come and Visit the Town of Teguise - One Of The Oldest Towns in the Canary Islands

Every Sunday, the usually quiet historic centre of Teguise transforms into the most famous market in the Canary Islands.

Recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, Teguise instantly captivates you with its charming streets and traditional squares.

These peaceful streets come alive once a week, filled with colour, movement, and energy as visitors from all over the island arrive to explore the market. One of the reasons for its popularity is the incredible variety of products on offer: from fresh local produce to handmade crafts and artistic creations.

With more than 400 stalls, the Teguise Market is truly an experience in itself.
A Perfect Example of Traditional Lanzarote Architecture

As you wander through the market, you’ll hear traditional Canarian music drifting through the air, and with a bit of luck, you may even catch a glimpse of folk dancers dressed in their colourful traditional costumes.

The market offers something for everyone: traditional and contemporary crafts such as ceramics, basketry, and leather goods; natural and organic products; and local delicacies like cheeses and wines. You’ll also find countless works of art from creators of all styles, as well as jewellery, accessories, and clothing.

And if you get hungry, you’re in the perfect place. The market features several food stalls offering everything from typical Canarian dishes and sweets to quick bites. There are also bars and taverns where you can enjoy local products and even sample Lanzarote’s wines.
